Product Engineering: Salesforce Customizations for Insurance Brokers
PROBLEM
A Professional Employer Organization had their submissions scattered across their CRM, spreadsheets, and OneDrive. There was a need to transfer data from one platform to another within the current CRM, resulting in adoption issues and the creation of duplicate submissions.
OVERVIEW
We proposed and developed a CRM using Salesforce Sales Cloud. We customized Salesforce to capture submissions, positions, and other key data elements required to calculate the costs for Workman’s compensation premiums. Additionally, we integrated the document repository of OneDrive with the submission records for easy traceability of documents using a third-party plugin. This system aids in organizing customer data referred by brokers (agents) for efficient data management.
SOLUTIONS
The customization of the CRM system involved modifying Salesforce standard and custom objects and building a few flows. This enhanced data organization and simplified sales management by enabling easy access to required data with a simple click. Storing organized data on the cloud provides the advantage of accessing it from anywhere and taking necessary actions promptly.
